how to get a promotion at work ?

You have been at the job you are at for quite some time but can’t seem to see any improvement, but why? What could possibly be going wrong? You are left in confusion that is why you are here today.

I will include for you tips that will for sure get you a promotion but you have to follow what I tell you.

I have asked and interviewed 10 entrepreneurs on what is the key for an employee to win a promotion from them and here are the tips for you.

  1. Make Your Boss Obsolete

It’s satirical, but the best way to get promoted is to make your boss’ job easier. A boss never wants to follow and look after his employees constantly and the best way to do that is to make his or her job obsolete. You’re not really putting your manager out of a job—you’re allowing him or her to trust your work where checking after you isn’t needed they are able to give you their back. In turn, he or she can focus on new areas that the higher-ups have needed to address for some time. Strong work goes up the chain, improves the company, and gets you noticed. Noticed in a good way, the actual way you want.

  1. Summarize Work Visually

When you are introducing your work, give the boss something to look at. When you answer the question, ‘Why are people buying?’ show a chart of the most successful responses as well as how many people gave each response. It makes everyone a believer when we can see a quick visual snapshot that backs up what you’re saying. Once again you are playing the trust game, and trust isn’t earned easily. If you expect people to go off of your words only you need to have built a strong relation with them as well as backed up and previous situations where you have proved them, you are trust worthy.

Build that relationship with your boss.

3. Own Projects from Start to Finish

Organizations place a premium on individuals who follow through on tasks. If you can prove that you can consistently own projects from start to finish, you will not only get promoted, but you’ll also make yourself indispensable. Not having to spend more than what assigned or loosing recruits from another project to be put in one because you couldn’t handle the pressure isn’t what you want to leave as a feedback with your boss. So think well before taking on something and “always finish what you start ‘

4. Keep a Positive Attitude

The people who typically get promoted keep their cool under stress. They also act as a role model to everyone around them. They meet deadlines and ask relevant, intelligent questions that help clients be happier with the services that are provided by the company. When an issue arises, they want to solve it and work to avoid future problems by learning from their mistakes. That’s the type of employee a boss wants to see think about your work as a relationship you want to improve it and keep it healthy, drama free, stress free. But to keep something stress free you have to work on keeping it at the top notch. Hard workers are always recognized what if hard worker and positive influencer NOTHING COULD BEAT THAT!!!

5.Raise Other Members’ Performance

Hurting someone else at your work such as a coworker or keeping information that could be helpful to a project/ assignment just because you don’t want them to look better than you aren’t going to be much help for you. Obviously if that’s the case you will go back and flash off how good you are and can solve it. Well the boss will see that you kept that away to hurt your coworker and no one trust me no boss wants someone that can’t be team work or wants to build his future upon other, be kind that won’t hurt at all instead it’ll pay up.

6.make sure your boss is aware you want that promotion

expressing your desire for a particular promotion is very helpful. Sometimes management may not know you want it, or has not thought of you as a candidate, especially if it’s outside of your current department so be crystal clear about it and straight forward that you are interested and would love to be recognized by such an opportunity.

  1. show honor, pride, and confidence in your work

what matters most is the essential will to do the best work possible. The work is what matters, and employees who take it personally, who own their work as a reflection of their values and take pride in doing good work, are the employees who deserve the trust with positions of responsibility. Keep in mind that when you honor something and water a plant that plant will grow, same thing with your job

8. show Commitment

When one is really committed, you can tell by the quality of their work, effort they put in, along with the relationships they develop around there projects and coworkers. When employees show commitment, it is noticed and try to reward them with deserved promotions. Please keep in mind with deserved promotion so you have to work for everything you want so you can deserve it

9. Demonstrate That You Can Solve Client Problems

To get promoted you have to show your boss that you are willing to do your best at solving the obstacles and issues you run into.

WITH OUT LOOSING MONEY FROM THE BUSINESS

Keep in mind “customer is always right” isn’t what the boss is looking for he/she  is looking for you to solve the situation in a smart way.

10. make money

Last but not least to get a promotion you have to make money for the company so they can see you are worth going higher up on the ladder to reach the top. A company is constantly looking for people who can implement creative and effective campaigns that make both us and our clients shine. This also means being able to work independently, without having to be told what to do every step of the way.

So good luck stays encouraged and build your future, yes this may be a hard road but you want to get to the top you have to climb climb like your life depends on it 😉 because it does: D
