The chicest arrivals at the CFDA Fashion Awards as Kim Kardashian picks up a coveted gong
The great and good of the fashion world gathered in New York last night to celebrate the very best of their industry.
A pre-announced honouree, British Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful OBE, picked up the Media Award, while Naomi Campbell was crowned the CFDA Fashion Icon.
Accepting the evening’s biggest gongs were Raf Simons – who was named Womenswear Designer of the Year for his work with Calvin Klein – and James Jebbia of Supreme who won Menswear Designer of the Year.
Picking up the inaugural Influencer Award was Kim Kardashian West, who brought a touch of humor to proceedings by admitting that she was “kind of shocked” to be winning a fashion award considering she’s “naked most of the time”.
Attendees who didn’t win an award but won serious style kudos thanks to their look included Kendall Jenner in Alexandre Vauthier, Gigi Hadid in Versace and Kaia Gerber in Alexander Wang.
