It’s #FashionFactsFriday and today’s term is “Cowl Neckline,” which describes when a garment has draped, rounded folds around the neckline, falling below the collarbone. Cowl necklines became popular in the 1930s, although they are thought to have been inspired by the fashions of Ancient Greece. The drape works to flatter rather than conform and constrict the body’s contours.

This type of design or fashion is usually complemented on women with long necks or a good length that can complement the dress or shirt it shoes comfort and the idea of “not trying to hard” while remaining classy and catchy to the eye!

As it is coming back in the 2019 seasons we will be see a lot of this in the higher end brands and it will be striking the platforms more and more.
